My father-in-law’s “mpiftekia”, or burger patties, have always been a mystery. This weekend I pestered him for the answer and found out - he adds wine to the cooking at the last minute!

Honestly it completely transforms the flavour, and my household is addicted to these little morsels - so I had to share! We have them as a main course with my mashed potatoes (shared earlier this week), but my father-in-law considers them the perfect meze. I guess it depends how hungry you are!
