Spicy Garlic Hummus

A creamy, spicy garlic hummus made from scratch in just 5 minutes. Smooth, bold, and perfect for dipping or spreading.

  • 240 g canned chickpeas
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 3 tbsp tahini
  • 40 ml olive oil
  • 60 ml lemon juice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • 3 tbsp water

  • 1 tsp sweet paprika

Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly under cold running water.

Add the chickpeas, garlic clove, tahini, lemon juice, salt, chili powder, and cumin to a food processor and blend for about 4 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed, until completely smooth.

With the processor running, slowly pour in the olive oil and blend until fully incorporated.

If the hummus is too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.

step 5

Transfer to a serving bowl and top with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of sweet paprika.
