step 1

In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, dry yeast and parmesan cheese.

step 2

Mix the salt in a bowl of water and add it to the flour mixture.

step 3

Melt the butter, make sure it’s not hot and add it to the mixture along with the egg. Knead the mixture to create the dough.

step 4

Cover the bowl to allow the dough to double in volume for 1 hour.

step 5

Garlic butter: Melt the butter and mix it with the salt and the crushed garlic clove in a small bowl.

step 6

Once the dough has doubled in size, divide it into small pieces, roll them into balls and dip them in the garlic butter.

step 7

Cover a cake pan with parchment paper, create a layer with dough balls and sprinkle them with grated cheese and black sesame seeds.

step 8

Continue by creating another layer of dough balls and filling up all available space. Once again sprinkle the top with grated cheese and black sesame seeds.

step 9

Cover the cake pan with a kitchen towel and allow it to rest for 20 minutes.

step 10

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 40 minutes.
