This Greek version of the family favourite, pizza, is a quick, easy and pretty healthy option that all the family will love, for breakfast lunch or dinner!
Mix together the lukewarm water, yeast, and sugar in a small bowl until everything is evenly combined. Leave it to activate for 10 minutes before using it.
Place the activated yeast, flour, melted butter, and salt into a stand mixer and mix on low speed for 5-6 minutes to form the dough.
Coat a medium bowl with one tablespoon of olive oil and place the dough in it, covering it with a kitchen towel for an hour to expand.
For the perfectly portioned dough, begin by lightly dusting a flat surface with flour. Then, shape the dough into 10 individual pieces for baking or serving.
Generously sprinkle more flour and mold the dough with your hands before using a rolling pin to form it into a rectangular shape.
Carefully begin to curl the edges of your dough inward, pinching them together to form a boat-like shape.
Place the pizza boats (Peinirli) onto a parchment-lined baking tray and fill them with your desired toppings such as cheese, ham peppers, and tomatoes.
Enhance each one with a hint of oregano and brush the sides lightly with olive oil.
Bake them in a preheated oven at 200ºC (392ºF) for about 15 minutes or until they reach a delectable golden hue.
