Cheese Croquettes (Tirokeftedes)

These cheesy, crispy, amazing croquettes are a very common meze, found in most Greek tavernas, and they’re extremely easy to make at home too!

what you'll need
  • 200 g gouda cheese
  • 180 g edam cheese
  • 20 g parmesan cheese
  • 55 g self raising flour
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • ⅛ tsp pepper
  • sunflower oil (for frying)

Add all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix them well.

Use a large spoon to scoop some of the mixture and shape it into small balls.

step 3

Refrigerate them for 1 hour.

Deep them in hot oil and fry them for a few minutes until they’re golden brown.
