Beer-Braised Chicken

  • 600 g chicken
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 300 ml beer
  • 1 tsp corn flour
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey

Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat olive oil in a pot or skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 10 minutes, until both sides are golden brown.

Add the chopped onion and sauté over medium heat for 3 minutes, then add the crushed garlic.

Slowly pour in the beer to avoid foaming, sprinkle thyme, cover with a lid, and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
